Eco Agriculture Conservation Volunteer Project in Costa Rica | Albarrán Cruz Joaquín Alberto

Costa Rica

My stay there was a true cultural immersion experience in a homestay hosted by a local farming family. Conditions in these remote places are basic but comfortable. Bed linen is provided, but you will need to bring your own towel and personal cleaning supplies. I shared the room with 4 other volunteers. The bathrooms are shared by all the volunteers and have flushing toilets and cold water showers.

The weater here is really cool tropical Due to this environment, I could also perceive the presence of a variety of critters (insects, spiders, etc.).

About the program.

The name of program is Eco Agriculture Conservation Volunteer Project in Costa Rica. The purpose of this project is to help improve the local harvest and implement sustainable and effective agricultural practices, while respecting local farming methods.

As a voluntier I have five activities I do:

  1.  I have help harvest coffee beans
  2. I have help roast and pack coffee beans.
  3. I have help do compost
  4.  I have help replanting
  5. I have clear land to plant coffee.

In my free time I do three activities I planed. I planed going to takin a tour of volcanoes and coffee plantations,  I going to takin some surfing lessons and also I going to do some other mini-adventures.
