Santa Elena, Ecuador.
While in Santa Elena, I stayed in a volunteer house with other IVHQ participants. The dormitories have single beds or bunk beds, in rooms shared with up to 5 other volunteers of the same sex. Life is comfortable, and the volunteer house has electricity, running water, and western toilets.WiFi is available, but it was very slow at times, and there is a large patio with hammocks on site for volunteers to relax in after volunteering.
Ecuador has a tropical climate that varies with altitude and regions. The weather can be very variable on the same day, but it is usually very pleasant with a feeling of eternal spring. That is why I liked my stay there too much and I plan to return.
