Volunteering in Environmental Education in Bali | Pérez Mendoza José Fernando

Bali

When I arrived at the airport, a member of the local team met me at the airport and took me to the volunteer accommodation. I stayed in volunteer houses, located about 15 minutes drive from the center of Ubud. Located in small villages, it is a great place to see typical Balinese life.

Living conditions are comfortable and all volunteer houses have fans in the rooms. Volunteers can expect to share a dormitory-style room with four to eight other volunteers. These bedrooms are separated by gender. The bathroom is shared with a hot shower and western toilets. WiFi is available at the volunteer accommodation and there are great internet cafes in Ubud if you want access to a higher speed connection.

The Volunteer Program in Environmental Education in Ecuador - Santa Elena | Gómez Castillo Jessica

Santa Elena, Ecuador.

Once I registered in the program, I booked my flights to arrive at the José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) in Guayaquil. I had to arrive on a Sunday before the start date of the program and a driver from the local team picked me up at the airport, from there he took me to the volunteer accommodation in Santa Elena, which took me approximately 2 hours to arrive.

While in Santa Elena, I stayed in a volunteer house with other IVHQ participants. The dormitories have single beds or bunk beds, in rooms shared with up to 5 other volunteers of the same sex. Life is comfortable, and the volunteer house has electricity, running water, and western toilets.WiFi is available, but it was very slow at times, and there is a large patio with hammocks on site for volunteers to relax in after volunteering.
